Daffodils at Wye Mountain

One of my favorite things about living in Arkansas is the Spring. It is so beautiful here in the spring. The daffodils practically grow like weeds on the sides of the road here. There have been several times that I wanted to go dig them up and bring them home to plant at my house. But as Dave reminds me..."then everyone else wouldn't be able to enjoy them as they drive by". I love looking through the thick brush to see them peppered with bright burst of color from all the flowering trees.

A few weekends ago we enjoyed all the beautiful daffodils at the festival on Wye Mountain. It was a quick trip, as there was a large storm rolling in ready to dump a large pile of rain all over us.  Despite the briefness, I was able to snap a few pictures, pick a dozen daffodils for a buck, eat an awesome pulled pork sandwich (an Arkansas staple), and enjoy some quality time with my hubby on the drive to and from the festival. Here is a peak at our adventure...

Dave was so awesome to carry all my stuff around for me...including my flowers (ahhhhh...)
